A Seminar on “Turkey: General Elections and the Foreign Policy toward Asia”

The Sasakawa Middle East and Islam Fund Presents:
A Seminar on “Turkey: General Elections and the Foreign Policy toward Asia”
(2015.4.3)
Closed.

At the invitation of the Sasakawa Middle East Islam Fund, three experts on Turkish politics including foreign policy will give lectures on Friday, 3 April 2015.

Since the Justice and Development Party (AKP) came to power in 2002, Turky seems to have shown increasing interest towards Asia in addition to her traditional effort to join in EU. In recent years, advisors of Prime Minister Davutoğlu have been actively extending Turkish diplomacy, not only to its neighboring countries but also to Asia. Today's lecturers form part of those advisors who have been using their networks with Southeast and East Asian countreis to this end.

The second part of the seminar will start with a response to the preceding lectures by Mr. Phar from Malaysia to be followed by the panel discussion moderated by Dr. Kohei Imai from Japan.

We do hope that you will join us at this informative event.
