Sasakawa Peace Foundation Presents
Lecture Series on Political Change in the Middle East
Lecture 1: Observations from the Front Lines of Political Change in the Middle EastBy Journalists from Al Arabiya News Channel
Closed.
Owing to unforeseen circumstances, one of the lecturers of the seminar ‘Observations from the Front Lines of Political Change in the Middle East’ scheduled on June 27, 2011 has been changed.
Instead of Mr. Nakhle El Hage (Director, News and Current Affairs, Al Arabiya News Channel), Mr. Antoine Aoun will visit and give a lecture.
We apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause and thank you for your understanding.
In the context of dramatic changes occurring in the Middle East, the Sasakawa Peace Foundation will host a lecture series on political change in that region. The first lecture of the series will feature two journalists from the Al Arabiya News Channel (Middle East Broadcasting Center (MBC Group). Mr. Nakhle El Hage (Director) and Mr. Naji Al Harazi (Senior Reporter) have been invited to present their observations from the front lines of political change in the Middle East.

Al Arabiya was established as a news channel in 2003. Headquartered in the United Arab Emirates, the channel provides round-the-clock reporting and commentary on domestic and international news. The two lecturers will address the latest situation in the Middle East, speaking based on their own experience reporting from the front lines.

This is an ideal opportunity to hear directly from Arab journalists who have been on the front lines of reporting on political change in the Middle East. Everyone is welcome.
