In order to keep abreast of the rapidly changing political situation in the Islamic Middle East, the Sasakawa Peace Foundation is currently conducting a lecture series on political movements in the region. For this, the 11th lecture, Al-Sharif Nasser bin Nasser, Managing Director of the Middle East Scientific Institute for Security, Jordan, is invited to speak on the subject of “Resource Management and Conflict Prevention in the Middle East” on Wednesday, March 27.

As we all know, resource management of water and energy is a crucial issue in the Middle East. For instance, water management of Jordan River by the Israeli government has always been one of the cause of the conflict with the Jordanians and Palestinians.

Al-Sharif Nasser bin Nasser, who focuses on furthering scientific and technological solutions to some of the challenges in the region will discuss on conflict prevention in the Middle East in light of water and energy management.
