Project contents
In a follow-up to research spearheaded by ESCAP (Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific), a symposium was held in Suva, Fiji, in which industry specialists from Japan and Pacific island nations proposed designs for ships to meet the region's unique geographical and social conditions and discussed plans to promote the development of the region's maritime capabilities.
