FY2017
Past media coverage of Northeast India, which borders Myanmar, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and China, has tended to place great weight on insurgencies, violence, and conflicts. This project assists capacity building for people engaged in media, literature, and art, and it disseminates constructive information that breaks stereotypes and gives hope to local youths, thereby reshaping the region’s existing image and promoting a correct understanding of its diversity and potential.
