Ms. MIKO MAEKAWA is Senior Research Fellow at the Ocean Policy Research Institute of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation (SPF). Prior to joining the SPF, she worked at several organizations including the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) (2000-2007), University of Tokyo as Assistant Professor with the "Wisdom of Water" (Suntory) Corporate Sponsored Research Program (2012) and the Graduate School of Human Sciences at Osaka University as Lecturer (2013). During her assignment at UNDP, Ms. Maekawa has managed a wide range of environmental projects on climate change mitigation, biodiversity conservation, and environmental mainstreaming.
