Press Release[Private Interviews with Delegation Available]Five Mongolian Parliamentarians to Visit Japan on Themes of Renewable Energy, Environment, Manufacturing and Technical Colleges, etc.

[Tokyo, 10 February 2011] The Sasakawa Pan Asia Fund of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation will host a five-person delegation from Mongolia from February 14 to 21, 2011. This news release is to let media know about the opportunity to have private interviews with members of the delegation. During their stay, they will meet with officials from the government and ruling party, hear presentations on topics relating to renewable energy development, environment, manufacturing and technical colleges, and more, and visit numerous sites in Japan.


Below are main details of their itinerary.
 
Feb. 14 (Mon) Arrive at Narita
Feb. 15 (Tue) Prime Minister Kan Naoto, Ota City Ward Office (Industrial Promotion Dept., Ota City Industrial Promotion Organization, Showa Seisakusho, etc.)
Feb. 16 (Wed) Welcome reception hosted by SPF
Feb. 17 (Thu) Seminar with METI (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) and Japanese parliamentarians
Feb. 18 (Fri) Mie Prefecture (visits to prefectural office and Yokkaichi City Hall)
Feb. 19 (Sat) Mie Prefecture (Kuwana City sewage treatment facility, Chubu Electric Power Co. thermal power plant, etc.)
Feb. 20 (Sun) 
Feb. 21 (Mon) Return to Mongolia
Members of the delegation are as follows:
  • Mr. Luvsannyam GANTUMUR, (Democratic Party, graduated Nagaoka Technological University (Japan), electronics engineer, age 38)
  • Mr. Tserenpil DAVAASUREN (Mongolian People's Party, graduated Saitama University (Japan), economist, age 42)
  • Mr. Enebish MUNKH-OCHIR (Mongolian People's Party, graduated Sanko College, Masters in Education, age 41)
  • Mr. Khishigdemberel TEMUUJIN (Democratic Party, graduated Mongolian State University, lawyer, age 40)
  • Mr. Jadambaa ENKHBAYAR (Mongolian People's Party, graduated Mongolian National University, lawyer, age 38)
The Sasakawa Peace Foundation aims to contribute to stronger future relations between the two countries by providing opportunities for young Mongolian parliamentarians to visit Japan.
