About Our Exchange Program with the United States

The Sasakawa Peace Foundation focuses on fostering international exchanges and cooperation to tackle the world’s many challenges and to contribute to the sound development of the international community.
In particular, our foundation believes in a strong Japan-U.S. relationship for regional peace and prosperity, and places high priority on exchange programs with the United States. Under our Japan-U.S. Exchange Program, our foundation provides support to various people, institutions and research activities in an effort to build and strengthen the basis under which the two countries could cooperate on regional and global issues. As a private organization, we hold a long-term and neutral perspective in dealing with these issues.
