Drawing up of Cabinet Proposal and Home and Foreign Ministerial Consultation Regarding Construction of Markers

On December 15, 1894, an official document was drawn up with an annex including a cabinet proposal to construct markers on the Senkaku Islands. (Ref. 1)

On December 27, 1894, Home Minister Nomura Yasushi requested Foreign Minister Mutsu Munemitsu's opinion on this matter. (Ref. 2)

On January 11, 1895, Mutsu responded by writing that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had no particular objection. (Ref. 3)
