At this side event, leaders will present their perspectives for promoting blue economies in the Pacific island countries to promote sustainable fisheries and aquaculture, eliminate illegal-unreported-unregulated (IUU) fishing, foster sustainable blue tourism, explore ocean renewable energy, forge capacity including the possible application of a blue economy index framework, and promote regional cooperation and international partnership.
