Academic/Professional Background
After joining a government-affiliated organization, Ms. Takahashi was involved in humanitarian operations in the former Yugoslavia. She joined Oxfam International and Oxfam Japan in 2001 to be in charge of organizational management as well as development program management. After the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, she managed gender-lens relief and reconstruction operations. In addition to her work in NGOs, she worked as an independent consultant for program evaluation and disaster risk reduction. She joined Sasakawa Peace Foundation in September, 2020.
