The Sasakawa Middle East Islam Fund has implemented international exchange programs with the Islamic Republic of Iran since 2010. In this scheme, we held Japan - Iran Conference three times with the Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS) in Tokyo and Tehran. This year we will hold the 4th Conference in Tokyo, as part of which we have invited H.E. Dr. Hadi Soleimanpour, Vice Minister and Head of International Research and Education Center, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Professor Mostafa Zahrani, Director General of IPIS to speak at the seminar entitled, "Iran and International Community after Nuclear Negotiation" on 1st October, 2014.
H.E. Dr. Soleimanpour is currently in charge of various research and educational organizations related to cultural exchange, diplomatic training, research on international relations and diplomatic archives. Meanwhile Professor Zahrani assisted the current Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Zarif in carrying out Iranian diplomacy in New York when Dr. Zarif was the Permanent Representative of Iran to the UN.
H.E. Ms. Yoriko Kawaguchi, former Minister for Foreign Affairs will make opening remarks. Ambassador Kinichi Komano, former Ambassador of Japan to Iran, will take part as a discussant with the two speakers from Iran.
