"Behind East Asian Growth: The Political and Social Foundations of Prosperity"

The Sasakawa Peace Foundation has been supporting the Salzburg Seminar in implementing the project entitled "The Rise of Industrial East Asia and its Implications for the Developing World" since 1994. Recently, the Seminar, as a fruit of the project above, published a book entitled "Behind East Asian Growth: The Political and Social Foundations of Prosperity." In the book, published by the Routledge, London and edited by Dr. Henry Rowen, Stanford University, the East Asian experience was reviewed from the perspectives of economic policy, governance, and education.
