"Asian Voices: Promoting Dialogue between the US and Asia" Seminar Program
The "Asian Voices: Promoting Dialogue between the US and Asia" Seminar Program got its start in an "Occasional Seminar Series program implemented by the Sasakawa Peace Foundation USA (SPF-USA) "(http://www.spfusa.org) with support from Sasakawa Peace Foundation in 1998. Due to the successful launch of the initial seminar program, SPF-USA initiated the "Asian Voices" Seminar Program. (http://www.spfusa.org/program/seminar.htm) The goal of this program is to promote greater dialogue and mutual understanding between the US and Asia-Pacific region.
Washington, DC is a nerve center for government institutions, inter-governmental organizations and international NGOs, as well as for think tanks, research institutes, and other members of the academic community. It is an exciting challenge for us to assist in linking these institutions and communities with potential counterparts in the Asia-Pacific region. It is our hope that we will promote networking and information sharing among these institutions.
