Developing Business Teaching Materials in Vietnam

Amid economic development, Vietnam observes intensification of competition amongst enterprises driven by open market. There are therefore urgent and growing needs for talents who have global perspective and competitive edge to manage businesses. This project aims to develop business cases as educational materials that reflect actual conditions of corporate management toward an end goal of establishing an MBA program that addresses economic situation in Vietnam, seeking cooperation from experts on business administration in advanced economies in East Asia.
This is both self-operated and grant project, where grant portion represents primary element that will be implemented by the University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City. The self-operated portion of the project will dispatch instructors to Vietnam and handle project monitoring.

- Osamu Nariai, Professor of Reitaku University, and Kee Young Kim, Professor Emeritus of Yonsei University will be asked to serve as project advisors.
- A total of 10 East Asian specialists in addition to project advisors will be sent to Vietnam as instructors in workshops to be held in Vietnam (May and October 2007).
- On the occasion of study tour, the project will seek support from cooperative organizations based in Japan, South Korea and Singapore (December 2007).
