Developing Business Cases for an MBA Course in Vietnam

The project aims to contribute to strengthening business administration in MBA courses by developing teaching materials that reflect the Vietnamese business managing situation and business environment. UEH and Hanoi Agriculture College will select 30 typical Vietnamese enterprises in the agricultural, manufacturing, and service industries, and study business cases to develop and publish business case books for the Vietnamese MBA courses.
Activities of the first year will be as follows.
- Workshops (UEH and Hanoi Agriculture College, October 2006 and February, 2007)
Workshops on business case development will be held twice to develop teaching materials that reflect Vietnamese business managing situations in cooperation with business administration experts from East Asian countries including Japan and Korea.
- Selection of Vietnamese enterprises for case studies (November, 2006 to January, 2007)
Case development teams will be formed to collect information and data on Vietnamese enterprises in accordance with methods introduced by business administration experts from the East Asian countries. They will select 12 enterprises for business case development to be conducted in the second year.
- Foreign MBA course study tour (February to March, 2007)
Four professors from UEH and one professor from Hanoi Agriculture College will visit Japan, Korea and Singapore to study MBA course education in each country. Case development in the agriculture area will be commissioned to UEH.
