The following activities will be conducted in this final year of the project in order to disseminate the survey results obtained through the project to the wider public.
- 2nd Project Conference (September 2005, New York)
A conference will be held on the topic gEffect of the Current System of Intellectual Property Lawh. Participants will debate the effect of the current system of intellectual property law on research use of biomaterials, procurement of drugs etc. Participants will also examine various patent blocks as well as barriers presented by the current intellectual property law system in the patenting/licensing of HIV/AIDS drugs and stem cells.
- 3rd Project Conference (January 2006)
Participants will review the draft policy proposals prepared by the researchers of The Hastings Center and analyze research results through discussions with 12 specialists.
- Dissemination of project outputs
Reports, newsletters, and academic articles will be produced based on conference discussions/research results and widely disseminated.
