Developing Teaching Materials on Bioethics and the Evaluation/Phase II

The following activities will be conducted as a single-year project based on the development and evaluation of the bioethics textbook in the past two years
  1. Preparation of a second edition bioethics textbook and instruction manual in English
    1. 2005 July to August
      The second edition of the English bioethics textbook with improved information will be prepared by re-evaluating the first edition textbook, correcting expressions, and adding references to the first edition textbook.
    2. 2005 September to 2006 March
      An instruction manual will be prepared by considering teacher usage, evaluation of student performance, and contents. Collection of newspaper clippings relevant to bioethics and the preparation of bioethics slides will be used as side-reading materials.

  2. Trial and evaluation of the teaching materials (2005 July to 2006 March)
    1. Trial and evaluation of the teaching materials will be conducted following Phase I.　The second edition bioethics textbook will be evaluated in each country and the results will be compared at the Eubios Ethics Institute.
    2. Discussion of bioethics education of bioethics will be held in Bangkok in September this year inviting participating teachers, UNESCO affiliates, and other participants.
