Visit to Japan by Delegation of Chinese Medical Administrators

As one of the emergent tasks of the Chinese Ministry of Health in 2005, the Chinese State Council has proposed improvement in health management systems for emergencies by intensive exchange with developed countries, especially Japan. In response to this proposal, CAIFC will send selected health care administrative officers to Japan.
  1. Preliminary preparation meeting
    Held in Beijing
  2. Visiting Japan
    (1) Delegates:
    Representatives from the Ministry of Health, including the International Corporation Department, emergency teams, and Disease Control Department, Chinese Disease Prevention and Control Center, local Municipal Peopleユs Governments (Beijing and Szechuan) Health Bureaus, main hospitals, CAIFC and others. The total number of delegates is 14.
    (2) Visiting date: September 2005 (7 days)
    (3) Visiting sites
    National Institute of Infectious Diseases, Infectious Disease Surveillance Center, local public authorities including the Metropolis of Tokyo, Saitama, Hyogo, and Niigata Prefectures, and local healthcare centers in Kobe City, Saitama City, Nagaoka City, and so on.
    (4) Subjects:
    a) Health Care Management Systems for Emergency
    b) Prevention of epidemic infectious diseases and warning systems
    c) Emergency control systems for infectious diseases such as SARS
    d) Education of emergency paramedics
  3. Summation meeting
    A meeting will be held in Beijing to sum up the contents and results of the visits. Reports will be prepared and circulated among related units including the Ministry of Health.
