Cultivating Specialists in International Security Issues/Phase II
7,100,000 yen[Self-operated /Grant Project]
The Sasakawa Peace Foundation (SPF), Asian Forum Japan (AFJ, Japan)
The grant project will invite Chinese practitioners working in the defense field to participate in a training program comprising language study and training in international issues and defense strategies. On their return to China, the self-operated project will provide training to outstanding participants in the above-mentioned program with the aim of helping them obtain a masterfs degree at Beijing University.
The details of the programs are as follows:
- Grant program:
"Training Program for Defense-Exchange Staff" administered by Asia Forum Japan.
The grant will support the training of two people selected by the China Institute for International Strategic Studies. In addition to the language training course that the program has been administering for the last five years, this year the program will provide a more comprehensive training course that includes university lectures on international politics, and special lectures on Japanese politics and defense strategies.
- Self-operated program:
With the cooperation of the China Institute for International Strategic Studies and Beijing University, SPF will cover the tuition and textbook costs of students who achieved outstanding performance in the training program to help them obtain a masterfs degree in the international relations from Beijing University.
