Capacity Building for the Higher Education Sector in Cambodia

The following activities are planned.
  1. Preparatory meeting (April, 2005 in Phnom Penh)
    Three themes will be selected at a preparatory meeting, and the preparation of teaching plans, teaching materials, and the outline of a 5 day curriculum for the workshop will be assigned to foreign experts. The experts will be requested to prepare teaching materials in a unified style.
  2. Workshop (September, 2005 in Phnom Penh)
    A five day workshop will be held at the Royal Academy of Cambodia with experts from the International Islamic University of Malaysia and the Center for Studies of Higher Education of Nagoya University, Japan as invited participants. Three workshop themes will be selected from candidate subjects, such as teaching skills, logical thinking, improvement in presentation skills, communication skills, and financial accounting training for managers.
  3. Follow-up (October, 2005 in Phnom Penh)
    The workshop will be evaluated for each theme through feedback from workshop participants and analysis of the results of a questionnaire survey to improve the next project.
