Establishing an Online Resource Center for NPOs/NGOs

The following activities are scheduled for this year:
- Creation of a website and uploading of information (April to August 2004)
The project will create an ORC Web site (with a database system, search engine, and other functions) and upload information selected in the first year of the project.
- Completion and trial operation of first trial version of ORC Website (September 2004 to January 2005)
The project will create the first trial version of the ORC. A comprehensive check will be conducted to ensure that there are no problems with the inputting of data by participating organizations (at this stage, participating organizations will begin actually inputting information into the web space they have been provided with), operation of the database system, and other system-related issues.
- Provision of Training (September 2004 to March 2005)
Training on how to use the database system will be provided throughout the year via on-line training and workshops. A user's guide will be posted on the website as part of the on-line training. Workshops will be held by regional partner organizations of the implementing organization. The project will promote participation in ORC year round.
- Creation of the second trial version of the ORC (January to March 2005)
Problems identified in the first trial version of the ORC will be revised/resolved, and the second version of the ORC will be created so that the operational aspects of the database can be reviewed.
