Genron NPO: Encouragement of Intellectual Debate and Its Dissemination to the International Community

The following activities are scheduled for this year:
- Economic strategy/Asia Strategy Conference
- Annual Theme:This year the conference will further develop and build on last year's theme How should Japan face a changing Asia? through
(1)identifying methods of bridging gaps through the utilization of Japan's strengths and (2) evaluating whether these methods will are the optimal choices and will contribute to the establishment of a sustainable advantage.
- Forums:Twice a month year-round
- Symposiums:once in July, August or September 2004 and once in February 2005.
- Conference on Public Sector Reform
- Annual Theme:The main theme of the conference is Japan's new challenge and the potential of NPOs. The conference will also discuss the following two sub-themes.
- Sub-themes:1 )The potential of NPOs and project frontiers
2) The potential of NPOs in the policymaking process
- Forums: Six times a year
- Symposium: Once in either September or December 2004
- Information Dissemination
Project findings will be disseminated to the international community through the joint operation of (1) forums/symposiums, (2) printed media (monthly publications), and (3) project website.
