Self-operated Activities

SPF will utilize the best methods, such as conferences, seminars, the Internet, films, publications to translations, for disseminating intellectual information related to Asia to the rest of the world in a timely manner.

Commissioned Activities
  1. Production and broadcasting of video footage via the Internet/Cable TV: Video footage of interviews with Asian heads of states and conferences organized/sponsored by our foundation will be produced and broadcasted to a worldwide audience via website, cable TV, and Internet TV.

  2. SPF-USA will be commissioned to invite lecturers from Asia to the Voices of Asia Seminar organized by the foundation. Seminars will be held ten to twelve times a year primarily in the Washington DC area, and will cover current topics in Asia. SPF will commission administration and other work related to the invitation of lecturers to SPF-USA, but will help with the selection of themes and lecturers. Tentative seminar topics include "Myanmar's New Military Regime and Future Roadmap," "Indonesia following Presidential Elections," "Terrorism and Islamic Extremists," "Korean Peninsula Affairs"

  3. Disseminating the Fruits of the Project via the Internet The proceedings of the Voices of Asia Seminar will be made available on the Inter Press Service' s global news website.
