Developing Teaching Materials on Bioethics

The bioethics textbook (first volume) that was developed last year will be tried out/evaluated this year, and a supplementary reader will also be developed.
- Trial use of Bioethics Textbook (First Edition) - April to December 2004
The textbook will be used on a trial basis in high schools in Japan, China, India, New Zealand, the Philippines, Thailand, UK and Mexico.
- Evaluation of the Bioethics Textbook - April to December 2004
Editors and writers of the textbook will sit in on classes in which the textbook is used and observe students' reactions. They will then make additions and changes as deemed necessary.
- Editing and publishing of bioethics textbook (2nd Volume/Supplementary Reader) - Jan. to March 2005
Following the trial and evaluation of the textbook, the second bioethics textbook (supplementary reader) will be edited and published both in print and on-line.
