Developing Marketing and Management Studies in Vietnam

The following activities are scheduled for this year.
- Joint research (April to October 2004):
The research on marketing education programs will aim to identify the current situation of marketing education (its effectiveness and practicality) within the context of rising competition resulting from increased economic interdependence in the region, and improve education methods by drawing from the experiences of Japan, China and Thailand. The research will target education institutions and corporations.
- Seminar (November 2004):
A four-day seminar will be held in Ho Chi Minh for the purpose of discussing the abovementioned research findings. A total of about twenty people, including the research team and representatives of the universities involved, will participate in the seminar.
- Drafting of a policy proposal paper (Dec. 2004 to Feb. 2005):
A policy proposal paper will be compiled based on the research findings and discussions at the seminar. The policy paper will take the form of seven research papers divided into three chapters.
- Publication of marketing periodicals (October 2004 to March 2005):
A thousand copies of Vietnam's first monthly marketing magazine featuring academic papers and marketing related information will be published and distributed to association members and other free of charge. The project will aim to continue publication of the magazine even after completion of the project itself.
