Conference of Asian Foundations and Organizations, Philippine Business for Social Progress (Philippine)
Last year participants from Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, India, and Malaysia exchanged thoughts/colleted case examples on perspectives/methods of social entrepreneurship and activities of the private non-profit sector. This year the project will gather information on social entrepreneurship in East Asia and will hold a social entrepreneurship forum to report the findings from the first two years.
- Preparatory meeting by country (April to July 2004):
Preparatory meetings for the forum will be held in the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, India, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
- Gathering information on case examples in each of the countries and regions (July to December 2004):
As a part of preparations for the forum, participants will collect information on actual cases of private non-profit/for-profit activity from the perspective of social entrepreneurship and organize this information into reports by country and region.
- Asia Social Entrepreneurship Forum (January 2005 in Taipei)
At the forum, external lecturers will be invited to share case examples of social entrepreneurship, and representatives from each country will report on the current situation in their country/region. Participants will engage in discussions regarding successful cases of social entrepreneurship and methods of application.
- Compiling a report on the forum and making it available on the website (February to March 2005):
The implementing organization will compile a report on the forum and distribute copies to individuals/organizations within its network as well as make it available on their website.
