Program/Project evaluation: A view from the other side

The Center for Community Service, The Ateneo de Manila University (Philippines)
The following activities will be conducted this year, based on the results of last year's survey/mapping on the current situation in regards to evaluation. Similarly to last year, the results will be compiled in a database.
- Establishing a steering committee (May)
A steering board (of about six member) will be formed, comprising primarily members who expressed their enthusiasm for participating in the project last year. The steering board will comprise members of international assistance organizations, international development NGO's, and Filipino NGO's.
- Meetings by sector (May to August)
At the sectoral meetings, donors, international NGO's, domestic NGO's, and assessors/evaluators will exchange ideas and opinions on problems and issues that came to light by conducting the survey.
- Study Group (September to November)
Based on the results of the survey and sectoral meetings, the steering board and others will discuss and study "evaluation methods that take into account the perspective of grantees and non-evaluators".
- Workshop (December, February)
Based on the results of the abovementioned conference and study group, various participants will discuss their thoughts regarding methods of evaluation. There are expected to be approximately 30 participants at each of the workshops.
