In its second year, the project will conduct the following activities based on the fruits of last year's roundtable "The Middle East: Culture, Religion and Community-Looking Beyond the Current Crisis."

1. Organizing a workshop (coordinating conference): October 2003 in Jordan.　
   1. Purpose:
      To decide on the theme for the next roundtable to be held in 2004. The discussions will focus on how to coordinate the roundtable with the Forum 2000 Conference -organized by Mr. Vaclav Havel, former President of the Czec Republic- scheduled to be held in October 2003.
   2. Participants:
      10 professionals from Europe, Japan and the Middle East; more specifically, Mr. Vaclav Havel, Mr. De Clerk (former President of South Africa) and Mr. Perez (former Israeli Foreign Minister), and others.
      
      
2. Roundtable：February 2004 in Jordan:
   The "2nd roundtable meeting" on the theme selected in the workshop (1) will be held in Jordan. 16 professionals from Europe, Japan and the Middle East are scheduled to attend.
