In this first year of a 3- year project, the following activities will be carried out.

1. Drafting the publication "The Background to the Birth of the 1 Percent Law and its Evaluation."
   The evaluation part of the publication will focus primarily on the case studies in Hungary, but the rest of the publication will place equal emphasis on Slovakia and Lithuania as well.
   The content of the publication will be
   
   1. an introduction to the 1 percent law (its innovativeness and factors that lead to its creation),
      
   2. the existing 1 percent law and its function
      
   3. the road to the drafting of the 1 percent law,
      
   4. how the 1 percent law works,
      
   5. measures for introducing the 1 percent law, and
      
   6. conclusion, evaluation, and proposals for the future. The summary will be published in print, and the rest of the text will be distributed in the form of PDF files.
      
      
2. Methods of Distribution
   A website will be created for introducing this project (within the NIOK Website), and will include various articles related to the 1 percent law, a chat room for exchanging information, a list of experts and consultants on NPO laws, and so forth. The abovementioned contents will also be included in the website.
   
   
3. International Symposium
   The main participants will be NGO representatives and policymakers who were highly involved with the adoption of the 1 percent law in Hungary, Slovakia, and Lithuania, as well as others from Central, Eastern, or Southern Europe who are interested in adopting the 1 percent law.
