Promoting Evaluation for Development of Chinese Nonprofit Sector

In the first year of the project, a framework and standard for conducting evaluations were designed based on information gained from field surveys and research of literature in the field. A trial evaluation was also conducted. In the second year, details were discussed and adjustments made to the evaluation system by conducting workshops, questionnaires, and trial evaluations. In this third and final year of the project, a symposium will be held inviting experts from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Japan, to hold final discussions regarding the evaluation framework, standards, and methods, and the final evaluation system will be completed.
The activities planned for this year are as follows:
- Preparation for the Symposium (April to September)
- Holding the Symposium (September)
The symposium will invite a total of about 30 participants including experts from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Japan.
- Final discussions regarding the evaluation system and drafting of a report (October to February)
- Publication of the report "Evaluation system for Non-profit activities in China" (March)
