Japan Visit Exchange Program for Young Students

A selected group of graduate students of Japanese at universities in the North East region and alumni currently working in central and regional governmental organizations will visit Japan.

  1. Participants: graduate students of Japanese at universities in the North East region and alumni working in central and regional governmental organizations that are responsible for China-Japan Exchange Programs (eight) and two people from the China Association for International Friendly Contact, for a total of ten people.

  2. Project briefing session: A briefing session will be held in Peking for the group going to Japan.

  3. Exchange Activities: May (planned for 8 days) Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka
    1. Round-table discussion will be held in Tokyo between Japanese and Chinese youth on the theme "Japan-China Cooperation in the 21st Century."
    2. Workshop in Tokyo: A workshop will be held inviting experts as lecturers and focusing on the three areas of politics, economics, and diplomacy.
    3. Informal Gathering to promote goodwill between the Chinese and Japanese participants.
    4. Tours: The participants will visit prefectural and city governments, high schools, universities, and corporations.

  4. Roundup meeting: After the participants return to China, a round up meeting will be held. The participants will also put their impressions down in writing.

  5. Drafting a report: A report will be compiled regarding this year's visit, and a follow-up survey targeting participants of the program in the past five years will be carried out and a report also compiled on it. The reports will be used as reference for future Japan-China youth exchange programs.
