Enhancement of Corporate Governance in Azerbaijan: Experience of Malaysia

The following activities will be conducted in FY2003.
  1. Implementation of the project "Corporate Governance in Azerbaijan" (Attachment: Economic and Business Research and Education Centre (Khazar University) Azerbaijan):

    SPF will provide assistance to the Economic and Business Research and Education Centre (Khazar University) in Azerbaijan to conduct research related to enhancing corporate governance in Azerbaijan.

  2. Commission research assistance to Malaysian researchers (October 2003):

    In order so that the Azerbaijan research group can conduct field surveys in an efficient and timely manner, SPF will commission the Malaysian Institute of Economic Research (MIER) to provide research assistance to this project.

  3. Preparatory meeting for establishing the research framework (November/December 2003):

    With the support of the Malaysian Institute of Economic Research (MIER), preparatory meetings for the establishment of the project framework will be held on two occasions. Participants will include representatives of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation, the Malaysian Institute of Economic Research (MIER) and the Economic and Business Research and Education Centre at Khazar University.
